I have an acceptance in Paris at a university applying partial exemption, and I am in the process of assembling my file to apply for a visa.
I would like to have some information regarding the proof of financial resources. My guarantor wants to deposit a sum of 7500 EURO into my savings account (UBA Bank Senegal), and I plan to make an AVI from this account.
I wanted to know if I am required to justify the source of the funds, and is it necessary to add the bank statements and pay slips of my guarantor with a certificate of sponsorship for potentially other expenses?
Do you have any idea about the reliability of the AVI issued by UBA Bank Senegal with the consulate?
And considering the high cost of living in Paris, is 615/month sufficient to convince the consulate for obtaining the visa?
The sum is sufficient. No worries. In principle, you do not need to justify the source of the money as long as the AVI is done by a bank, and the manager’s name is on it. But if you can justify it, do so. 615 is sufficient for what concerns this.
UBA, yes no worries. But if I may give you some advice, it is to establish your AVI with Société Générale or Banque Atlantique. These are French banks.

It really depends on local practices at each embassy. We have seen that in Morocco, the AVI from a bank was refused. In South Africa, for example, it is Campus France that sets the list of banks. In Cameroon, we have a student who used the AVI from UBA bank to obtain their visa without much trouble.
In conclusion, you need to check locally if the consulate has a pre-established list of banks or not. As for the necessity of justifying the source of funds, we have seen that the bank may ask you to justify the source of funds, but the consulate as well.

The minimum living area is at least 9 m² for a single person, 16 m² for two people (add 9 m² per additional person).
In your case, this certificate is possible, but does the student have the other necessary documents: a residence permit still valid for at least 4 months, a recent bill?
