I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management which I obtained from UCAC in Cameroon and recently I received an enrolment certificate from ESGRH for training in the first year Master’s programme in HR Management. I have currently completed the Campus France procedure and I am gathering the documents for the Visa application at the French embassy in Cameroon. My mother, who is funding my study project, has decided to be my Financial Guarantor. My mother works in the public sector. On this subject, I have three main questions.
I would like to know if it is possible for her to be in Cameroon and decide to support me financially in France?
Since she is going through her bank to provide me with the AVI, what documents will she need to provide for my visa application?
What documents must she provide to prove the funds and justify her professional situation given that she works for the State?
I don’t think this response is adequate. Could those whose parents are financing their studies while being in Africa, and more specifically in Cameroon, please respond to us? Because when you say we must meet the solvency conditions and we see the salaries in Euros, it does not align with the realities of salaries in Cameroon.
Thank you for addressing my concern, but the €7,380 that the embassy is requesting, my mother would rather deposit it into her own bank account and ask her bank to transfer it to me monthly into the account I will create upon my arrival. This is why I was asking which documents I need to include in my file besides the bank document.
You will need to prepare the following documents for your mum: 1) the last three payslips 2) her employment certificate or letter 3) a photocopy of her ID card 4) the bank statement for the last three months
Hello @Danielledo Really pleased for your son. I’m interested in the fact that you say you are his guarantor while being in Cameroon. Please can you tell us what documents you provided to be his guarantor? I want to know if you just submitted your bank statements.
My son graduated in 2016 and immediately after, he started working at a local microfinance. He was admitted to a private school in Pau to pursue a master’s degree in finance. Campus France approved his application. The private school costs 10,000 euros and I have paid the deposit.

Ok my son, I’m resuming Private school: 10,000 Advance: 3,000 euros Student contract signature with a payment schedule for the remaining 7,000 euros Documents I provided as a guarantor: 1) Payslips for three months (April, May, and June) 2) AVI done at AVI center (the best) they also provide three-month insurance 3) Bank statement for the last three months (from 1st April to 7th July 2023), the history must clearly show the transfer of the deposit of 7,380 euros 4) Employment certificate or work certificate 5) Photocopy of ID card 6) Signed contract with the school showing the payment schedule for the remaining tuition fees
If you have any questions my son Greg, please don’t hesitate. All of this is accompanied by lots of prayers, if you don’t pray much yourself, your mother can do a lot of praying for you

Of course, it went through the validation of Campus France Yaounde, which apparently sends a notice directly to the embassy. I didn’t detail his procedure since everyone knows it. It’s the Grant part in Cameroon that I detailed since I myself faced doubt before the visa was issued. Just to reassure the children with the idea that one can indeed have a guarantor in Cameroon and obtain the visa.
Hello once again @Danielledo I have a question I forgot, I want to know if when filling out the form your son put the date he plans to arrive in France a bit earlier. Actually, I would like to put on my form my arrival date more than a month before my start date. As I am a software developer, I would like to work before my start date.
No, they do not respect the date, they put a date that is approximately two weeks before your start date. On my son’s form, we put the date of 29 August as the start date, they put 5 September, which is approximately two weeks before the start date.
Hello madam, could you please explain to me the principle of the contract signed with the school demonstrating the payment schedule for the remaining tuition fees? Because I also wish to include this document in my student visa application file.
To obtain it, should I send an official email to my institution asking them to send me this document? Because I have a tuition fee of €9100 and to date, I have also paid a deposit of €3000, leaving €6100 to settle.
