Hello @Andrew, I have a concern. My cousin residing in Canada has decided to act as a guarantor for me, but on the list of documents required for the VISA at the French embassy in Yaoundé, it is specified as follows: « or a certificate of support from a respondent in France who can assume this additional charge, presented with the following documents: a photocopy of the national identity card or residence permit in France, and proof of their resources (the last three payslips, and the latest income tax notice, bank account) »

1- I would like to know if, considering what is required, submitting my application with him alone as my guarantor is not too risky?

NB: I have a friend in France who has also agreed to act as a guarantor for me.

2- Which option seems the most sensible to you?

You should know that the composition of a student visa application is almost the same in all countries. However, some countries may impose additional conditions or requirements. To answer your question, if the embassy requires a guarantor residing in France, you must comply with their request, otherwise, it will be an immediate refusal.
