The school asked me to pay €1000 (€550 as application fees and €450 as a deposit), so I plan to make a deposit of 3,000,000 fCFA = €4615 with a solvent guarantor and free accommodation. My concern is whether this will be sufficient or if I need to add another guarantor?

You need to add another guarantor, or you can make an Irrevocable Transfer Certificate for a larger amount.

By the way, I plan to add my sister-in-law as a guarantor who has a permanent contract in France, but her residence permit expires in August. She plans to renew it next week, so I wanted to know if presenting the receipt of the renewal of her new residence permit along with her residence permit expiring in August could go through without any problem at the embassy for the visa application?
If the receipt of the renewal of their new residence permit is valid for at least 3 months, you shouldn’t have any issues.
