Hello @Eli

Where did you get your admission? :face_with_monocle:

Hello Andrew, Being new to the forum, I’m still having a bit of trouble seeing how to interact, hence my delayed response. I have been admitted to the University of Picardie Jules Verne Amiens

Ok, and how much do you have to pay in tuition fees? How much is your AVI per month? How much is your accommodation per month? How many kilometres is the accommodation from the school? Where are you applying for the visa? Is it your country of origin? Finally, I’m not asking about the passport which must be valid for at least 15 months, let’s say 18 considering the processing time.

The cost of tuition fees is €243
AVI €615/month for 12 months
The accommodation is 40 km from the school according to Google
I am Cameroonian and I am applying from Cameroon
The rent costs €470 including charges/month
My passport is very recent

My guarantor remains the one who made the AVI for me.

I don’t have a guarantor in France. Is that a problem?

Hello Eli, I have also been admitted to the same university. Good luck and best wishes for the visa.

Hello Samuel. Great then, I hope we’ll meet again by the grace of God. How is your application going? I’m going to submit the application to the embassy soon.

Here’s the little drawback I see. The distance is really borderline. It is limited to 40 km. In any case, I think you can use it, but if you had another solution, that would be great, especially since the accommodation is really expensive.

Best regards

I am ready, I am waiting for my appointment which is for early July

:grin::weary_face::weary_face:. I am stuck here Thank you Andrew for this kindness

Yours sincerely

Cool. Good luck bro

If you can, you should try to find other accommodation because 40km distance = high dependency on transport = more money to spend knowing that your rent is already high = more money to justify.

I’m not saying that 40km won’t work, there are people who have obtained visas with accommodation even 60 km away, but if possible, if you can find something better at a more affordable price, it would be ideal for you.

@Andrew regarding the tuition fees of €2770, should they be taken into account?

Hello Samuel. I understand. Thank you for your response. Best wishes to you.

Hello, I got the visa. Thank you for your support  Composition of my file (Cameroon) Accommodation section: Studapart reservation certificate Payment receipt for the reservation Unpaid rent insurance (Studapart is my guarantor for accommodation) Financial section: AVI Last 3 payslips of the person who provided the AVI Their bank statement and account extract Papers of their small business Photocopy of ID card

Good luck to everyone still in the race and especially good luck :folded_hands::folded_hands::folded_hands:

Hello Samuel I hope you are well. Please, give me some news :folded_hands: See you soon

Hello Eli, I am well thank you, and you? Congratulations on your visa. When is your departure planned for?

Hello @Eli Congratulations on your visa. I would like more details. I am in Cameroon like you but in Douala, where did you submit your application in Cameroon because the way applications are processed in Douala is not the same as in Yaoundé. How much does your school cost? How much was the AVI you did? Was the person who did the AVI a family member?
