Good evening everyone. I have currently completed the Campus France procedure and I am in the process of gathering documents for the Visa application at the French embassy in Cameroon. My father, who is financing my study project, has decided to be my Financial Guarantor by using his company. On this subject, here are my main questions.

  1. The school has provided a certificate of accommodation stating that I will be housed on their premises from 18th September. I would like to know if, when filling out the form, I should put this date as the arrival date.

  2. For the financial aspect (I would like it to be analysed to avoid a reason 5) Private school: 12,500 euros Advance: 3,000 euros Student contract signed with a payment schedule for the remaining 9,500 euros

*Documents that my father’s company will provide as guarantor:

  • My payslips for the last three months (May, June, and July) proving that I am employed in the company - AVI (of 6,500,000 francs) made at AVI CENTER **PS this amount was advised to me by other students who travelled for the same school last year - Bank statements for the last three months of the company (the transfer of the deposit is shown in the history) - Commercial register and tax notice since it is a private company - Photocopy of ID card - Contract signed with the school demonstrating the payment schedule for the remaining tuition fees - Attached to all this is an explanatory letter from the company stating that I am going for training to then return to the country to apply the skills acquired in the said company, hence the reason they are acting as guarantor to finance my training.

On what date are you supposed to start classes? Generally, it is advised to arrive 1 to 2 weeks before the academic term begins.

Regarding the financial aspect (I would like it to be analysed to avoid a reason 5)

If you have proof that the company paid for your AVI and the advance on your tuition, that’s very good. You must also prove that the company will be able to cover all tuition fees given the high cost.

And in your explanatory letter, your company must have arguments to prove that you are going there to learn and return to apply your acquired skills in France.
