Do you have any idea about this commission? Am I at risk of receiving an unfavourable opinion?

Hello,

I need your help, please.

I had the Campus France interview in December, and subsequently received my appointment authorization, but I did not apply for a visa due to family issues.

I informed Campus France in March about postponing my session for a September start. My file was validated by the Campus France office, I received my preliminary agreement but still no appointment authorization.

Yesterday, on June 27th, I was contacted by a Campus France agent asking for additional information regarding my professional experience. I explained everything, omitting to specify a mission that I had mentioned as the motivation for choosing my field. Towards the end of the call, she explained that I would receive my authorization the same day.

Today, I received a call from her asking me to be patient as my file needs to go through a commission, adding that she hopes the decision will be in my favour.

Please, I am very stressed! Do you have any idea about this commission? Is there a risk of receiving an unfavourable decision?

Welcome @nadia_ben

I understand that you are stressed by this situation. The commission the Campus France agent is talking about is the SCAC commission.

To read: Studying in France: Understanding the SCAC Opinion

The SCAC commission will evaluate your file taking into account your additional information. It is difficult to predict the outcome of this commission with certainty. However, it seems that the Campus France agent hopes the opinion will be in your favour. This could be a positive sign. It is possible that they need to discuss your file in more detail before making a final decision. I recommend that you remain patient and wait for the commission’s decision.

I wish you good luck!
