I am at the AVI level and was told to open an account at the SGC, but among the required documents, I was asked for the expense note (a document specifying the amount to be transferred and the period). They said it’s on the embassy’s website, I looked but it mentioned a minimum of €615. However, I wanted to deposit 3,000,000 and my accommodation is free.
I tried asking my friends who have left, everyone tells me that the €615 is mandatory, I can’t find anyone who has had to apply for the AVI at the SGC. For 3 days I’ve been trying to find a solution for this but I’m troubled, I feel like I’m going in circles. I’m in Douala, Cameroon. Please, if you have any information, I would be delighted to hear from you.

You say you will have free accommodation? If so, you will no longer need to make an AVI of €615/month, but €350. Also, will you be your own guarantor or do you have a guarantor who will take responsibility for you? Why always want to do an AVI at the SGC? There are multiple financial institutions specialised in AVI (Studely, AVI Center…).

Hello, yes I have a guarantor and my accommodation is free. Studely was the first agency I contacted, they told me it’s a minimum of €615. I even said, since I have a guarantor, does it not change, I have 3 million. They said it’s not possible, I have to make up the difference, it’s the embassy’s requirement. That’s why I turned to SGC, but they also require the embassy’s subsistence note.
I was also at Ready Study Go, they always said €7,380 per year for a student. Please, I would like to find a place where I will be told €350. Advise me where you went. I only have a week for this. Then give me your email to talk more quickly because here the response is a bit slow. Please.

Hello @Sophie, I got my visa last year with a guarantor and a statement of less than 3,000,000 FCFA. I applied in Douala and made my statement at UBA. In fact, I made a statement of €350*12.

I was at UBA yesterday, the lady told me to come with documents (valid ID card, admission letter, and the embassy letter mentioning the amount to be transferred and the sum to be deposited in the account). However, we only kept 3,000,000 francs for that. I was never told to just come with the money.

As there are several UBAs, maybe I wasn’t in the right one. Which one was it for you, please? For example, only UBA Ange Raphael handles university fees. That’s where I requested the AVI. It’s like when I asked at the SGC again, I realised that the one in Akwa doesn’t do AVIs.
I really need your help and clarification, this paper is stressing me out so much, I only have 1 week left to get it and moreover if my 3 million is refused I honestly don’t know what I’ll do.
