Hello everyone. I am a Malian student. I received a student visa refusal for reason 4 in June 2026. I have an admission to the École Tourangelle Supérieure in BTS GPME, a support attestation from the school after the refusal, and I am preparing a new application. Are there any students among you who have obtained their visa after a first refusal for reason 4? What did you change in your application?

Yes, we have known several students with reason 4 who had their applications rejected. The most famous case remains that of a young girl in Cameroon: Student visa refused for reason 4, the judge condemns the consulate… I am now in France!
The École Tourangelle Supérieure in BTS GPME is a well-known school with which we have had students who obtained their visa. What is more likely is that you failed your Campus France interview, and the SCAC examiner’s opinion on your file was unfavourable.
Unfortunately, reason 4 are very difficult to overturn. You need to manage to demonstrate through a good letter that you are coming to France for your studies, and not for something else.
