I obtained a BTS in midwifery in 2023 and I am currently pursuing a professional degree in nursing. I was accepted into the same programme (nursing) on Parcoursup but in the first year. Given this demotion, I want to write an explanatory letter for my visa application. When writing the letter, what can I put as the subject, please? Knowing that in 2023 I was doing midwifery training and obtained the BTS in this field, and currently in 2024 I continued with a degree in nursing, should I also explain in the letter why I made this reorientation? Where are you applying for your visa? In my opinion, you don’t necessarily need an explanatory letter unless you wish to add one or if the embassy expressly requests it.
Did you properly defend your study and professional project during the Campus France interview?

Hello, thank you. I made my application in Cameroon. But during the interview, in general, I had defended my study project well. The officer who interviewed me only asked me 2 questions. The first question was about my study project and the second question was to know what I wish to contribute after graduating. That was all for my interview. The question about my demotion, why I chose this course, professional project, why France, etc., were not asked. I was surprised when I left the interview!

Hello, In fact, during the interview, the agent asked me after graduating in the course I accepted (state nursing diploma) which course I would pursue? I replied that I would pursue the advanced practice nursing diploma course. Then he asked me, after graduating, how do I wish to contribute? I replied by saying that I wish to contribute to the improvement of care provided to patients suffering from chronic diseases. Then she asked me the title I would have after graduating, I told her I would be an advanced practice nurse [1]. And she told me the interview was over. She only asked me these 3 questions. NB: when I was answering the questions, they didn’t want me to elaborate or cite too much. So I had to answer briefly.
An advanced practice nurse is a healthcare professional who has acquired additional skills through specialised training after obtaining their state nursing diploma. This advanced level of training allows the nurse to manage patients more autonomously, make certain diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and improve the care provided, particularly for patients with chronic illnesses. I don’t think you need an explanatory letter, but in any case, it doesn’t hurt if you want to do one anyway.
