Hello, I have a concern, my start date is in November, but I have already completed the process with Campus France up to obtaining my preliminary agreement. I wish to submit my visa application. However, I have some questions: if I fill out the form stating that I wish to arrive in France even two months before my start date, could that work against me? Won’t they think that I’m going there for something else? If so, what is the maximum number of days one should arrive in the country before their start date?

There is no maximum number of days for arrival in the territory, and that’s a good thing. Personally, I think you can indicate two weeks before your start date.
In general, the embassy will first process the files of students who start in August-September. So don’t be surprised if your file takes several months.
