This is a first for Tunisia, and a strong signal for all of Africa: in 2024, more than 5,000 Tunisian students obtained a visa to study in France, according to the French embassy in Tunis. This figure, showing significant growth, represents the highest volume on the entire African continent.

And that’s not all: 85% of Tunisian student visa applications were accepted — an exceptional success rate that reflects a strong partnership between Tunisia and France, as well as the quality of Tunisian applications.
« The results are very encouraging, » said the French ambassador to Tunisia, noting that this figure places Tunisia at the forefront of African countries in terms of student mobility to France.
France remains a preferred destination for Tunisian students

Tunisian and French universities are multiplying agreements: more than 1,000 cooperation agreements are active, including student exchanges, research, joint degrees… Furthermore, the Campus France Agency and French institutions are strengthening their local presence to better support future students.
