Guarantor or coverage

Hello, I would like to act as a guarantor for a student who is a member of my family. The main issue is not being able to provide payslips as I have just left my job following a redundancy plan. However, there is no problem in justifying available funds in the bank account and savings account. Will the absence of payslips be a blocking issue for the sponsorship, thus leading to refusal reasons 4/5 at the embassy? Thank you.

Hello, I would like to have more explanations regarding the deposit of funds as I have received information that seems a bit contradictory to me. Namely: 1] From the side of the structures specialised in issuing AVIs: the deposit of funds must be made to their local bank account or via an international transfer to their blocked account in France. 2] On the WIH community website, I noted « to check the following points Â»: a) Funds must not be deposited into the structure’s current account in France. b) Verify with the French consulate and Campus France if this structure is recognised and reliable. In fact, it is the first point a) that I do not understand at all in relation to the conditions issued by the structures. Thank you for your informed responses.

Hello, I would like to know the procedures for obtaining an AVI for a Malagasy student. Thank you.

Welcome @Aso

[/quote] Theoretically, there is no problem as long as you can demonstrate that the account will be solvent over the next 12 months (technically 14 or 15 months taking into account the visa application time). Hence the need to know how much you already spend per month, then add to that the amount to give to the student, then multiply by 12 to see if you will have enough liquidity in your bank account.

In the event of redundancy following the implementation of an employment protection plan (PSE), you are generally entitled to unemployment benefits, all else being equal. Do not hesitate to take this source of income into account.

Even if there is enough liquidity, I think it would be better to directly make an irrevocable transfer certificate. It’s much safer and more reassuring.

Hello, Thank you very much for your very detailed and relevant responses. They allow us to analyse all situations and opportunities and then move forward in our endeavours. Again, many thanks.
