Budding Managers: Ready to Conquer the World
In 2023, around 32,800 students graduated in management. And guess what? Among those who did not continue or resume their studies, 65.9% are employed in France 12 months after graduation. Even though this figure is slightly down from the previous year, it remains impressive. Management courses seem to be a winning ticket to enter the job market.

There is also a noticeable salary gap between graduates from management schools and those from universities and similar institutions. Indeed, « a quarter of graduates from management schools earn more than €3,050 compared to €2,640 for those from universities and similar institutions. »
Engineers: The Superstars of Employment
Engineering graduates are not left behind. According to this new study, in 2023, 47,700 students obtained an engineering degree from accredited institutions.

Among those who did not continue or resume their studies, nearly 77% had found salaried employment in France one year after their degree. For half of these graduates employed at 12 months, the net monthly salary is between €2,230 and €2,770. General Licence: Prefer to Dive Back into Studies than Dive into Work!
According to the study, French graduates under 30 with a general licence mostly prefer to stay in the university cocoon: more than three-quarters (77.8%) continue their studies the following year. For the more daring who venture into the world of work, 58.1% find salaried employment in France after 12 months. In terms of salary, it’s still in starter pack mode: for half, it’s between €1,410 and €1,850 per month. Enough to afford a start of independence… or at least unlimited coffees to get through the first jobs!
