I would like to have your opinion, I live in France (French nationality) and I would like to act as a guarantor for my little cousin who is in Congo. She has been accepted into a private high school where the tuition fees amount to 425 euros per month, including accommodation and food. The boarding school is closed on weekends. She will have classes from Monday to Thursday evening.
For Friday evening, she will be staying with family 1 hour and 20 minutes from her boarding school.
Regarding financial support, I am on a fixed-term contract and earn approximately 2700 euros alone without children. I have always worked but on fixed-term contracts. My current contract will end in October and after that, I will move to a permanent contract.
My questions are as follows: Will being on a fixed-term contract be a problem or not? I can prove that I have sufficient resources in my bank account to support her. In the visa application form, it also mentions a certificate of deposit in a French bank account, does anyone know what this entails?
Or should I make a financial commitment, but of what amount in euros? I live 2 hours and 40 minutes by car from the boarding school, will I be able to accommodate her on weekends?
Yesterday, I paid the Campus France application fee of $100 and had my pre-consular interview today.
At the end of the interview, the agent handed me my preliminary enrolment agreement🙏🏾.
Can I already start my visa application?
My guarantor is French and will provide financial support of €615. The Campus France agent gave me the list of documents to prepare for the visa application, and they did not request my guarantor’s employment contract. Should I include it in the application or not?
They only noted « a legalised financial support document from a sponsor in France. This certificate must be accompanied by the last 3 payslips, the latest tax notice, and the guarantor’s ID. »
Reason 5: « The information provided to justify the stay conditions is incomplete and/or unreliable. »
My cousin has been accepted into a private school to do a BTS, and for accommodation, we have opted for the boarding school.
The schooling and boarding, from Monday to Friday, cost €425 per month.
She should be accommodated from Friday evening to Sunday evening as well as during school holidays at my place, which is 3 hours and 15 minutes from the school (280km).
If I have another cousin who is willing to host her on weekends and during school holidays, he is 1 hour and 10 minutes from her school (95km). Will that be acceptable, please?
