For the sponsorship, in addition to the sponsorship certificate, he or she must provide:

• a copy of their identity document (French or European identity card, residence permit).
• the last 3 payslips or equivalent for self-employed and liberal professions.
• the last 3 bank statements (account statement),
• the latest tax notice,
• proof of residence (EDF or GDF bill less than 3 months old or home insurance contract)
• their employment contract (CDI) if applicable.

Is the employment contract mandatory? Rather, ask yourself how the embassy can be assured that your guarantor will have income over the next 12 months without an employment contract?
