This year I was in my third year of law school but I did not pass. Therefore, I decided to change direction and join a prestigious business school’s grande école programme. I have been admitted, but through an alternative route, I am the recipient of a programme that will cover the entirety of my tuition (all 3 years). However, I will receive a certificate of enrolment each year. Do you think that this repeat year in my third year of law followed by a change to a third year in business school will be accepted by the prefecture? (I was planning to leave law anyway).
Furthermore, the repeat year led to a change of city, whereas in my previous city I had a student contract for 12 hours a week (which was 575 gross in the contract) but with payslips reaching 700 euros each month. Now in my new city, I suppose I need to quickly find a job, provide my new contract, the old payslips, as well as an explanatory letter?
Finally, my residence permit expires on 15th November, do you think starting the process on 20th September will be problematic? (the time to gather the enrolment certificate and student contract)

There will be no problem, every student has the right to change their course of study. I know many who have changed courses without difficulty. It all depends on how you justify your decision to change. Eva, an Ivorian student, switched from law to human resources, another Cameroonian student repeated the first year of chimney twice, and the third time, he decided to switch to computer science, it went smoothly.

[/quote] For the renewal of the residence permit, it is generally sufficient to simply show that you had a regular income of at least 615 euros per month in your account. In this case, your old payslips should be sufficient.
