It is with great joy that I analyse Richie’s reaction, a reader of my book « Smiling in Hardships, Lessons from Our First Failure ». Richie provides a sincere and moving testimony of her reading experience, highlighting several essential aspects of the work.

While reading « SMILING IN HARDSHIPS » I let myself be carried away in a vehicle with a character I describe as very smiling, humble, welcoming, with a lot of humour even when everything seems lost. I quickly felt at home and among family on board.
During the journey, I understand that it is with strength and determination that one achieves their dreams despite failures. Forgiving oneself to move forward. World like Home allows all foreigners to feel at home and safe elsewhere.
I am honoured to have boarded alongside Andrew. And to continue the journey alongside STE BAKHITA.
Things happen in life at the right time. By diving into this book, I realise that it is at the right moment in my life that I read this book, even though it had been in my cupboard for a long time. Because at this precise moment of major change in my life, I receive a big slap that makes me bounce back positively. And as Edison said, « I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work ». So, as I progress in SMILING IN HARDSHIPS, I also find solutions to my life. (Leaving everything to start over in a new city).
I have found myself in the same situation as the author, when your life is reduced to a piece of paper. Unfortunately, you do not exist and you have no rights according to certain laws in the country you are in. As Andrew said in his work, let’s just move forward in the journey…
During my journey, I discover another side of the author that I did not know. This strict boss when it comes to working and guiding you in any strategy: precisely the guidance of my little sister for her studies abroad. And that is where I conclude without saying it is over, that reading SMILING IN HARDSHIPS allows me to know more about Andrew and his motivations that gave him the desire to create WORLD LIKE HOME. Because one must live situations to understand and to understand what the other lives. Having a beautiful soul like Andrew and so warm just gives the desire to change the world.
A beautiful life lesson SMILING IN HARDSHIPS is a marvel, and World like Home is a work worthy of a genius and Hero of humanity.
