In Senegal, I completed my first two years, L1 and L2, in modern literature, and in my third year, I specialised in Linguistics, for which I obtained my degree. I need help on how to write this letter to explain my situation. Last week, I received my two transcripts with very good grades that allowed me to pass the Master 1, so I want a model of an explanatory letter to help them understand the change from modern literature to Linguistics, which has been possible in Senegal for 5 years now. If you can help me, I also want to know if I can include these transcripts from this year, which were not part of the initial application, to explain that this field suits me well because I understand it better and have good grades, and that I wish to become a linguist.
