Hello family. First of all, thank you for everything you do. Please, I need your help. I received the infamous reason 5.

I would be delighted if you could help me correct it.

Financial aspect: AVI of a blocked account in my name of 5 Million. (€615/month)

Accommodation: CROUS housing certificate

I made my deposit in TOGO on August 23rd, but unfortunately, CROUS cancelled my accommodation because I didn’t finish filling out the rental file knowing that I need to obtain my VISA to act as a rental guarantor.

My TUITION is €7000, I paid €3000 as a deposit. On my registration form, it states: €4000 remaining to be paid once the study VISA is obtained before the student’s arrival in FRANCE.

After the reason, I increased my money in the bank to have an AVI OF €750. And since my school is in partnership with ROOMLERS, I want to get a housing certificate there and write an explanatory letter mentioning that the rest of my tuition will be paid directly by my father as the deposit was made once the study visa is obtained as mentioned by my school on my final registration form and also attach the final registration form.

Please, IS this the best solution? Family, please help me.

Good evening, sorry for the refusal! Upon reading, I think the issues are: accommodation and proof of the rest of your studies. The AVI is to justify the means of subsistence. The experts will come to provide their help, you are at the right door!

Sorry for the refusal! Did the CROUS cancel your accommodation before, during, or after the consulate’s decision?

For your schooling, you need to prove that your father has sufficient funds to pay for your education. You can include his bank statements and payslips. Good Luck!

Hello. Normally, it’s on 1st September that the term starts at CROUS, so if your rental application isn’t ready, your accommodation will be cancelled. I submitted the application on 23rd August and now on the 31st, the accommodation was cancelled on 8th September I received the refusal… I really wonder if it’s the accommodation or something else.

The consulate does not have the means to know that your accommodation has been cancelled. The issue must be elsewhere. You need to review your file.

Hello @Kay125, you can leave the AVI as it is, but rather add financial support even of €700/month. Also, I hope you have the proof of the financial resources you used yourself to make the AVI. You should know that people borrow money to make the AVI and pay it back afterwards, the consulate pays attention to this.

Greg, in my case, the guarantor opened a blocked sub-account of 5 million, but the sub-account is in their name, although the bank issued the certificate in the child’s name. However, it wasn’t them who made the transfers; it was my son and my niece who did it. Could this be a problem?
