Did you know that a single piece of information can lead to a student visa refusal? Fortunately, you’ve come across this video. In our previous videos, we covered reasons 1, 2, 3, and 4 for student visa refusals for France. Today, we’ll discuss reasons 5, 6, and 7, so get comfortable and pay attention, we’ll see you after this.
Reason 5: « The information provided to justify the conditions of stay is incomplete and/or unreliable. »
This is the most common reason for student visa refusals for France. It means that the information or documents you provided are incomplete or appear dubious. This could involve questionable financial documents, inconsistencies in your application, or the failure to produce certain supporting documents.
In 2021, we assisted Andy, a Malagasy student who had already faced 2 consecutive refusals for reason 5, but who eventually obtained his study visa for the University of Paris Nanterre. I’ve put the link to his story in the comments.
To avoid this reason for refusal, ensure that all your documents are complete, consistent, and verifiable. It is advisable to produce all requested documents and, if necessary, add other useful documents regarding accommodation and resources.
Reason 6: « You are subject to a measure prohibiting your return to French territory. »
This is a rare reason and concerns students who have previously lived in France and are subject to an administrative decision prohibiting their return to French territory. It could be that a student violated rules during their previous stay in France.
Reason 7: « You present a risk of threat to public order/public security/public health. »
This situation can arise when the consulate believes that the student could be a danger to public order or health for various reasons.
Regarding the threat to public health, it is very specific as it concerns individuals with a disease listed by the WHO (risk of transmission). It is not about refusing a sick or disabled student (which would be discrimination), but about preventing a clear risk to public health. This reason is also very rare.
