Grace is a Congolese student. After her Bachelor’s degree, she decided to continue her studies in France and applied for a Master’s in Administrative Management. Unfortunately, the responses from French public universities were unanimous: seven rejections. « Insufficient level, prerequisites not met, or too much competition » - the reasons varied, but the result was the same.
Devastated but not defeated, Grace decided to seek help. That’s when she discovered the WlH community. She presented her application, and upon examining it, we discovered the flaws: an incoherent cover letter and unsuitable course choices. Together, we reworked her application, improved her cover letter, and found a course suited to her professional project at a private school in Montpellier, in the third year of a Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management. And this time, her application was accepted.
But acceptance into a private school was only part of the battle. She now had to obtain the visa. Again, we supported her from A to Z: advice on her guarantor’s financial capacity, choosing suitable accommodation, and preparing the visa application. Thanks to these efforts, the embassy granted her the much-desired visa. A sigh of relief.
