So I have a friend who submitted his visa application on 28 August 2023 in Abidjan with a French visa centre agency called VFS GLOBAL ABIDJAN. He is worried and asking me when he will receive a response since the date of his entry has just passed. I would like to ask those who have applied for a visa in Abidjan, could you tell me how long you waited to receive a response?

Hello Rien I’m sorry for your friend, but obtaining a visa varies from country to country as we saw in the case of Cameroon _ Douala where after 2 months of submission there was still no response. So, ask your friend to be patient or to write to the embassy in Abidjan.

Your friend must also apply for a late entry authorisation.
