I am reaching out to you because I have had a visa refusal for reason 5, a reason I still cannot justify with the file I have put together.
File composition:
Accommodation section:
Accommodation certificate from September until 31 March signed by my brother who resides in my university town and is less than 4km from my institution + (rental contract, valid residence permit until April, EDF bill, rent receipt, tax notice)
Sponsorship section:
Sponsorship certificate signed by the same brother for a transfer of 615 euros from September until 31 March + (permanent contract, payslip 2300€/month, bank statements, his same residence permit valid until April)
Second sponsorship from my mother with a blocked account of 9960 euros, AVI of 6885 euros for tuition fees to be transferred upon my arrival in France + a transfer of 615 euros from 1 April until August + (her ID, her business card, her trade register, bank statements, tax receipt)
In the end, all this was explained in my cover letter, but I still received a refusal. Could someone advise me on something since I want to resubmit my file with an informal appeal or if I should modify or add something before submitting again?

First, which school have you been admitted to? Where are you applying for the visa?
How many square meters is your brother’s accommodation?

@Andrew I have been admitted to Epitech, the tuition fees are 10,385 euros and I have already paid 3,500 euros as an advance, leaving 6,885 euros remaining.
My brother’s accommodation is 30m². He lives alone, with no dependents.
He earns 2,300 net, and he is able to save up to 1,000 euros depending on the month.
An amount of 9,960 euros is blocked in my mother’s account. The bank then issued a transfer guarantee as follows: 6,885 euros will be transferred upon my arrival, then 615 euros for the rest of the year when the residence permit expires, that is from April to August. 615×5 months + the 6,885 euros which makes the 9,960 euros.
Why such a large release all at once? The file needs to be simplified to facilitate understanding by the agents.
Here’s how you can proceed:
You have free accommodation, so you only need to block 615/2 for living expenses.
Suppose the school allows you to pay the remaining tuition in 12 instalments. Then, each month you need to pay the school: remaining tuition/12.
Do the calculation, the amount should be close to 10k euros. Since you already have the reason 5, you can simply do an AVI, without sponsorship to simplify the file. The instalment amount must be spread over 12 months. A first release this large raises alarms immediately.
Now, which bank did you do the AVI with?
