Fideline, an experienced teacher in Cameroon, had long harboured a dream: to enhance her skills in teaching the French language. To achieve her ambition, she decided to embark on further training in France, the ideal country for her project. It was the beginning of an adventure.

Between 2017-2018, Fideline undertook the Campus France procedure from the city of Yaoundé, an essential step for students aspiring to join a French university from abroad, particularly in Africa.
After a series of determined efforts, Fideline received three prestigious admissions to renowned French universities, but her most significant challenge was yet to come: obtaining a visa for France.
Guided by her instinct, she ultimately chose the University of Le Mans, a decision that would change her life. However, the path to obtaining the visa proved to be an epic journey filled with unexpected hurdles.
The first obstacle arose in the form of accommodation in France. With no trusted person on site, Fideline luckily discovered the AECM (Association of Cameroonian Students of Le Mans) on Facebook. Through this supportive community, she found invaluable support from @Andrew and signed a lease remotely, thus opening a door to her adventure.
However, fate dealt her a cruel blow. When she submitted her first visa application in August 2018, the refusal for reasons 2 and 5 hit her hard, motivated by financial concerns and the reliability of the information provided. But rather than succumbing to disappointment, Fideline embraced the lesson of perseverance.
Determined to make her dream a reality, she embarked on a second attempt with renewed boldness. This time, she took care to follow the wise advice of Andrew, who suggested a new approach. This time, it was necessary to opt for a certificate of accommodation rather than a lease contract and deposit the bank guarantee at Studely, a financial institution trusted by the consulate.
The day of the second visa application was marked by newfound confidence. The tension was palpable when she retrieved her passport. Finally, the long-awaited words resonated: « It’s good, they have granted it. » The emotion was palpable, as if a magical conclusion had closed her fairy tale.
Today, Fideline has become a FLE (French as a Foreign Language) Trainer at INALTA Formation, a success that embodies her perseverance and triumph.
